A warm welcome for Jarne Machiels<\/a>, who joins our team as Product Development Engineer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2021, Tacon & Matrixtape\u2019s team has been enhanced by a new colleague, Jarne Machiels. As product development engineer, he is responsible for project management, R&D Engineering, product development and technical support.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Jarne Machiels graduated his Bachelor\u2019s degree in chemical engineering technology at University Hasselt<\/a> & KU Leuven<\/a>. One year later, he received his master\u2019s degree in the same study with his master thesis focusing on the research of printed stretchable electronics.
\nAfter a first, successful period at Tacon (2017-2018), he joined the team of IMO-IMOMEC<\/a> (Institute for Materials Research), University Hasselt & IMEC. As project engineer, he was responsible for the European CORNET-project PAPERONICS<\/a>, \u2018Low Cost Multisensory Paper & Packaging Applications\u2019. This research focusses on the development of smart packaging applications by integration of printed electronics on paper & cardboard substrates. After a 2-year period, Jarne is again part of the Tacon & Matrixtape<\/a> team as product development engineer!<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom an early age, I would like to be a maker\/engineer\/researcher developing innovative products with a high impact on daily life products. Hereby, my passion about materials science as well as my curious and well-motivated character drive me to expand my knowledge and experiences in this domain, mainly focusing on adhesives, converting technology and printed electronics. I am so inspired by the limitless opportunities and high-end projects at Tacon & Matrixtape which really have an (in)direct impact on daily life. I am excited to be (again) part of this wonderful and experienced team that really sticks together as a family, helping to create new products!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The new appointment of a Product Development<\/a> Engineer fits in Tacon & Matrtixtape’s strategy with regard to innovation in the field of industrial tapes and technical film converting for the medical, automotive, construction, packaging and other industries.<\/p>\n

We look forward to a great collaboration and are confident to develop great innovative products as a team.<\/p>\n
